Valentine's Day and Fun at the Park

Is he the cutest little Valentine or what? His shirt says 'Hello Ladies'. Mason's class had a very nice Valentine's day luncheon for the parents. Many of the babies in his class graduated to the 'Wobbler's' class last month, so it was nice to meet some of the new babies and parents. Mason is now one of the oldest in the infant class and will probably move to the 'Wobbler's' class in a few months (hard to believe already!).

Now that the weather is finally getting a little warmer, we're trying to spend more time outdoors. We're very lucky that there is a nice park within walking distance of our house. Mason loves being outdoors and we recently let him try out the baby swing. He had a blast! I foresee many trips to the park this spring and summer. We're having so much fun little our little man!

Loving the swing!
Daddy even came to the park with us to play.
Swing me again Daddy!!

Weekend at the Lake

We spent many weekends at Lake Oconee this past fall visiting my family and going to Athens for football games. Then I returned to work and things got a bit hectic, so this past weekend we decided to get away for a quick visit. Of course, traveling with an infant is always a little challenging, but we are lucky that Mason is a very good traveler. Plus, we tried out the 'portable entertainment system' that we got for Christmas for the very first time (thanks Mimi & Dee!). He LOVED watching his Baby Einstein DVD in the car! As always, Mason enjoyed his visit with his grandparents and I just wish we could have stayed longer. Those pesky jobs get in the way of everything!

Happy boy with his Mimi - how cute are his little overalls?

And hanging out with Dee
And I think we may have a little Mozart here. He LOVES his pianos (this one and the one on his exer-saucer)

And speaking of buddies...

Mason and Shadow are quickly becoming best buddies. Shadow always wants to be part of the family and has become very protective of her little brother. It really upsets her when Mason cries and she will pace and look at me like 'Mom, HELP him!'. Mason is starting to pay more attention to her and will grab an ear or a handful of fur if she is close enough. Shadow is very patient and enjoys the extra attention. They both LOVE our walks to the park! Shadow gets so excited when she sees the stroller come out. Unfortunately, the weather hasn't been very cooperative lately, so we hope warmer weather is on the way very soon! Mason is equally as interested in Beau the cat, but he is not quite as patient with the fur pulling and high pitched squeals.

Here they are snuggling on the bed a few days ago.
Just me and my buddy!
Shadow LOVES to give Mason kisses, so if you don't watch them too closely, it quickly turns into this...
We love you sweet Shadow-boos!
