It's been a while since I posted, so just wanted to catch up and add some pictures. We're having a very busy, FUN summer, despite the crazy weather. It has rained SO MUCH!! We go to the pool any chance we get and have visited the lake a few times. School has started here and it makes me sad to think that Mason will be heading off to 'big kid' school in a few short years. He can't wait to ride the school bus and gets so excited when he sees it in front of our house in the mornings.
A few fun facts about Matthew at 15 mos:
- The kid loves to eat. anything. all the time. Current faves are any pasta, blueberries & watermelon. He is also HUGE and weighs almost as much as Mason.
- He's more strong-willed than Mason and gets VERY upset when he doesn't get his way. He's also entering the independent phase much earlier than Mason did.
- He loves to dance anytime he hears music!
- He loves giving hugs and kisses to anyone and everyone. His kisses are the cutest - he sucks in his cheeks like a fish.
- He's generally a very happy kid until he's hungry or tired. Then it's like Jekyll and Hyde - the switch happens in a split second and you better be ready!!!
- He's very social and just wants to walk around and 'talk' to everyone. Even at the pool - he'd rather 'socialize' than swim
- He loves to sing! Ever since graduating to Pre-K prep, he is constantly singing his ABC's, 'Wheels on the Bus', 'Jesus Loves Me' and other songs we don't recognize. I think he got mom's musical ability.
- He is such a little fish! He still uses swimmies, but he could probably do without if we really pushed him. He was jumping off the diving board at the pool last week and loved it! He also loves swimming in the lake and riding on the boat (with a life vest of course).
- He loves little brother, but still calls his 'Baby'. We're working on using his real name :-)
- Current TV obsession is 'Jake and the Neverland Pirates'.
- He starts soccer this weekend. It's a 3 year old league and they don't play real games, but it should be very entertaining!
